Gerardo Rodrigues graduated in Piano and Composition from the National Conservatory of Music in Lisbon-Portugal where he lived and worked since he was 9 years old.
He taught music in public schools for 7 years and privately for 10 years. His vast resume includes musical directing, piano accompaniment, composing and record producing.
In Europe (Portugal), he founded and managed a private Music School for 5 years and managed a music Production Company (ProMusical), since 1995.
In 2000, he participated as a Songwriter and Orchestrator in the Portuguese Song Contest held annually by the RTP (Portuguese Public Television Station) and won first place.
Gerardo has also produced and recorded many CD's for many famous Portuguese Artists and Record Labels. In 2003(still in Portugal), sends a song to the worldwide American Song Contest : Unisong, reaching the top 10%, and outstanding reviews. Being a New York native, in 2003 he finally returns to the U.S.A. to expand and be where the competition really is.
Now, In his New York home and studio he writes and produces most of his work.
